We are very proud of our string of lesson horses and ponies here at Movado!
Our lesson horses are carefully selected to provide our students with opportunities to ride and train safely with equine partners who like their job and work with a wide variety of riders.
Lesson and lease horses are treated with the same care and respect shown the fanciest show horses. They have ample turnout to keep them happy and healthy; stalls bedded with shavings; folks who keep them looking show-ready, and regular visits from top veterinarians for maintenance and medical care. Many started their careers as show ponies and horses, and they are all available for lease or half-lease.
We are proud to unveil our "Road to the Finals" lease program debuting in 2020! Movado Farms Inc. is very proud of our continued success in the show ring and many of our riders have been champions at Finals including CHSA, CHJA, FWPHA, & MHC.
Using our unparalleled ability to match horse with rider, we will work with individual riders to create a customized strategy of lessons and will help students set goals for their summer.

Meet the Lesson Horses
ORION
Orion is a stunning 16/2 imported Dutch warmblood who has done it all. An IEA/IHSA favorite who has shown up and down the East Coast.
DENALI
DENALI is a 16h chestnut gelding who loves to jump and has a gorgeous canter. Successfully shown in the CT Training hunters, Denali is also an IEA and IHSA favorite.
D2
Beautiful and elegant D2 is a 15.3h jet black Hanoverian mare, who is sweet, kind and a pleasure to ride. D2 is showing in the CT Training Hunters this season.
CARIBE
Caribe is a very educated, elegant, imported black 16.2 Holsteiner mare show horse that has been showing in the Children's Equitation and Modified Children’s Hunters. She has extensive flat work and is a lot of fun to ride.
LUCY
Lucy loves attention and to be groomed. She is a Thoroughbred/welsh cross and is one of our advanced lesson horses. Lucy enjoys jumping around 2’6” courses with advanced riders and is a very popular mount in IEA and IHSA.
ANTARES
Kind and gentle, Antares is a 16h beautiful black Warmblood cross who is honest, likes to jump and always puts his heart and soul into his work. Antares loves people, to be groomed and all the attention he receives from the IEA team.
JASPER
JASPER is a 15.3 H chestnut quarter horse cross gelding with four white socks. Comfortable to ride, Jasper loves people and his job.
CHROME
CHROME is a lovely 16 H appendix quarter horse gelding that is very comfortable and loves to jump
Meet the Lesson Ponies
CHANTILLY LACE
Lacey is an elegant and quiet, large P.O.A. pony. Lacey is a beautiful mover with a fabulous canter, a great jump and is a very sweet and willing pony. Lacey has proven herself in the show ring with an extensive winning resume. Lacey was in the winner's circle as the 2018 CHSA Champion in both SS Hunter and SS Equitation and 2018 CHJA SS Hunter year end Champion.
MASQUERADE
MASQUERADE is an elegant 14.1 hand strawberry roan mare who is comfortable, kind and loves to jump. Masquerade has a heart of gold and a show resume to go with it! Most recently, Masquerade was Champion and Reserve in two Pleasure divisions at the 2018 CHSA Finals.
PARKER
Parker is a chestnut quarter horse type gelding who likes people and is very comfortable to ride and loves to jump. He goes both English and Western and has successfully begun his show career in the CT Training Hunters!
MEMPHIS
Memphis is a lovely black and white, athletic large paint pony that is a lot of fun to ride. He loves people and lots of treats. A regular in our IEA program, Memphis is showing in the CT Training Hunters.
OLIVER
Oliver is a star in the making! A 13.2 bay show pony who loves to jump, is a beautiful mover and has a very sweet temperament.
